Scandinavian Open

It's as certain as the swallows returning to Capistrano, or Courtney Love heading into rehab. When January rolls around, there will be a Hold'em tournament in the land of the Vikings. The Scandinavian Open Hold'em tournament is a staple of the European Poker Tour. Against this striking backdrop the best players in the world compete to be the Viking king of Hold'em.

To play in this tournament will cost a competitor approximately $350. This is the cost of the buy-in. Add to this an administration fee that is approximately $30, and a player can get into this tournament for less than $400.

Seating assignment will be determined by random draw. Each guest will receive "10.000 dkk" in special tournament chips. These chips are specific to this tournament and cannot be used at other gaming tables, and can not be exchanged for cash. In this tournament there will be no re-buys or add-ons.

Once the tournament has started the buy-in and administration fee are non-refundable. If a guest is not present at the beginning of a round, the cards will be given to the table stake of the guest. If a guest is not present when a blind/ante must be placed, the dealer will remove the appropriate amount from the table stake of the guest and place it in the pot, and let the game commence. If a guest is not present when it is time to make a bet, the dealer will fold the cards of the guest. At the conclusion of the tournament, the top 18 players will win money, with the winner taking away approximately $15,000. When playing this tournament, remember you are not in Vegas. Proper attire, including a jacket, is required to play at this casino.
