2006 Midwest Regional Poker Championships

When most people think of entering a good, professional Texas Hold'em tournament they look to either their left or right and begin to wonder which coast they should head for. Seeing as most folks live somewhere in between Las Vegas and Atlantic City it only seemed reasonable that a high profile tournament should someday appear somewhere in the midwest. For those players who want to be crowned the poker king of middle America, the 2006 Midwest Regional Poker Championships are for you.

This event will be held on between April 19th and May 1st at Caesars Palace casino in Elizabeth, IN. This tournament is no second rate copy of a Vegas tourney. This is high stakes Hold'em with much more than money on the line. There are a number of varying levels of buy-ins that range from $300 dollars to $5000 dollars. All of these games are satellites that will give the winner an avenue into a World Series of Poker Championship tournament.

Most of the tournament events have as their prize cash and an entry into a WSOP preliminary event that will be held in Las Vegas. Event 10 in Championship is a $5000 buy-in, No Limit Hold'em affair that is to be held on April 30th and May 1st. This Championship finale carries with it a prize of cash and a seat at the WSOP Main Event. Those who have prevailed in the other tourney events at the 2006 Midwest Regional Poker Championships will automatically have a place at Event 10 without having to pay the $5000 buy-in.
